The prompt for this board was to research different denim fabric manipulations and incorporate them based on a city of our choice. I included swatches of my chosen manipulations: cutouts and weaving. The city I chose was Sedona, Arizona, and I focused on the city’s colors, mountains, and native jewelry I saw when I visited there.

The prompt for this board was to create our own unique designs to possibly be chosen for my school’s end-of-year fashion show. I designed three outfits based on metallics: gold, silver, and bronze. My looks were ultimately chosen for the show, as shown in Garments+Accessories.
The prompt for this board was to envision what our ideal future utopian world would look like, and make designs based on a new fabric that we create. I decided to weave together metal and leather strips. In my utopia, these hard-to-get and more expensive materials would be a lot easier to obtain and cheaper to buy. I was heavily inspired by the 1960s and their idea of the “space age”, focusing on designers such as Pierre Cardin and Emanuel Ungaro. I wanted my designs to portray the futuristic look of the past.

The prompt for this board was to create a sportswear collection, consisting of a top, skirt, pants, and jacket that can be mixed and matched to be worn for different occasions. These designs were based on Barcelona, specifically Antoni Gaudí’s Casa Batlló, and are to be worn during Spring/Summer.

The prompt for this board was to create designs based on a painting by John Singer Sargent and the Gilded Age era, but with a modern twist. I chose Le Verre de Porto (A Dinner Table at Night). I focused on the painting’s central colors of black and red, and was inspired specifically by the aesthetic of the lampshades.
